Outside of the sprawling city of Phoenix lies the McDowell Mountain Preserve. The preserve is host to the largest concentration of climbs in Phoenix and there is still more to explore. From the Gardner's Wall, a 250 foot tall granite slab, to countless boulders; all who come here will find adventure.
Nestled amidst the busy Phoenix Metropolis sits Camelback Mountain; a large formation of sandstone and conglomerate. Climbing began here in the 1940s and many of these routes are still traveled today. Don't let the location fool you. From 40 ft. top rope climbs to 350 ft. epic multi-pitch routes, the Camel is home to wild thrills.
Multi Pitch Climbs
This trip will take you places that top rope trips can’t. When one rope isn’t long enough to complete the climb, multi-pitch technique is required. The summit experience and quality of the climbing make this an unforgettable adventure. There are many multi-pitch climbs that can be customized to your goals.
